Jordan Sudberg, MD, brings to his practice years of experience in his field. Prior to turning his attention to Spine and Sports Rehabilitation on a full-time basis, he provided care as a physiatrist through his New York City practice. He previously served as a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at United Wellness Medical PC in Flushing, New York, where his responsibilities additionally involved caring for patients in need of pain management. He has similarly treated patients experiencing pain a practice in Ronkonkoma, Long Island.
Jordan Sudberg, MD, belongs to the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Association of Academic Physiatrists; he also maintains associate status with the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital, and he has conducted research in physical medicine and rehabilitation through St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center.
Given that so many of his patients experience pain as part of their injuries and conditions, Dr. Sudberg makes it a point to stay active in the pain management field. He belongs to the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the World Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonography. His training in pain management has seen him earn a certification in viscosupplementation, as well as in conducting nerve conduction velocity (NCV) studies, a modality he studied at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital. His continuing education also includes courses at the Hospital for Special Surgery, the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, and Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute.
Prior to becoming a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, Jordan Sudberg, MD, spent time at some of the county’s top schools and hospitals. He has served as a surgical research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate, and as an exercise physiologist/nuclear cardiology technician at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Diversely experienced, he has also worked as a medical information scientist.
Jordan Sudberg, MD, holds a bachelor of science in psychology from Yeshiva University and a doctor of medicine from St. George’s University. In his free time, he enjoys playing percussion instruments. His other interests include fitness, exercise, and sports: he is a certified personal trainer and a United State Tennis Association-certified tennis instructor. He also belongs to the American Council on Exercise and the American Fitness and Aerobics Association.
